Responsibilities Gather weather information from drivers on icy conditions, and follow up within Weather Desk procedures. Update weather alerts during each shift and adjust with updated road condition information Complete Weather KPI report each shift. Proactively communicate to drivers in areas of potentially adverse road conditions, communicating latest information. Document Incidents of drivers running through shutdowns and attempting to get trucks stopped in a safe location. Provide weather routing information to Operations and Professional Drivers in a timely manner. Complete reports assigned by Weather & SRG Manager or Senior Weather Coordinator. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently with little supervision and/or in a team environment. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Office 365). Ability to read maps and U.S. Geographical skills. Ability to learn applicable software for weather monitoring and driver communication tools. Education/Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree or higher preferred.
