Available Help for . KXII 12, the weather leader in the Texoma region, is looking to add a weekend meteorologist to the market's most experienced First Alert weather team. The right candidate will have a combination of broadcast, digital, and technological expertise to tell weather stories on a variety of platforms. This meteorologist will anchor our weekend evening newscasts, as well as serve as the primary fill-in both AM & PM weekdays. This is a full-time position based out of our studios in Sherman, Texas, located between Dallas and Oklahoma City in the heart of Tornado Alley.

General responsibilities include:

?Serve as primary weather anchor for station's weekend newscasts ?Fill in on the air in weekday AM & PM newscasts as needed (including holidays) ?Serve as CTV anchor/producer for 30-minute First Alert Weather Extra show three nights/week ?Serve as primary talent for digital & social video forecasts and live broadcasts ?Design weather graphics for the department with an emphasis on "lifestyle forecasting" ?Produce weather graphics and information to regularly update our website, apps, and social media platforms ?Occasionally report live on weather conditions ?Occasionally report on weather-related events and topics Qualifications are: ?Bachelor's degree or higher in Meteorology or Atmospheric Sciences ?Some on air experience, either professionally or in college, required (
