Job Description
Description Position Summary There is a Scientist II position available in the laboratory of Dr. Michael Niederweis at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in the Department of Microbiology to work on NIH-funded research projects requiring advanced skills in microbiology of M. tuberculosis, molecular biology, cell biology and infectious diseases. The successful candidate will participate in grant proposals both by generating preliminary data and by helping with proposal writing. General Responsibilities To employ a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures in a particular field of specialization. To plan, design and conduct research and present findings. Perform other duties as assigned.
