Associate Microbiologist

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT

The Associate Microbiologist will control and assure quality and provide technical support for production by means of microbiological analysis of raw materials, utilities & environment (water, compressed air etc.) as well as finished products.

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

Test materials and finished products for microbial contamination Prepare and standardize all reagents Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment Complete all necessary documentation in microbiology lab to ensure GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) compliance Data entry/ review Perform environmental monitoring Cleaning of equipment and glassware Sample compositing Reading plates and enumeration of microorganisms. Completing all routine testing in a timely manner and reporting results and data in Labware-LIMS Other tasks and duties as assigned

Experience:

6 months to 2 years of laboratory experience in a pharmaceutical or related industry

Education:
