The Fernández-Mariño lab is seeking to hire an entry-level laboratory science professional. The position will focus on university compliance, lab organization, cell culture management and inventory, and has reserved time (approximately 50%) to contribute to other aspects of the lab's research. These aspects include pioneering new tools/techniques, developing/performing mouse surgeries, and conducting experiments in collaboration with other members in the group. This would be an excellent position for someone who enjoys team work in a lab and conducting experiments.Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with and support Principal Investigators (PI) and other stakeholders with laboratory and research functions Utilize a variety of laboratory techniques required for research projects Perform experiments and tabulate and analyze research Support analytical testing process using standard lab support knowledge in the collection and review of conditions, including preserving samples, completing sample preparation, documenting and communicating results Perform pre-analytical, analytical and post analytical test process and evaluate results produced Prepare lab for daily operations, including stocking materials, equipment, safety, cleanliness, and related areasWork Location:

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in physiology, biology, molecular biology, genetics or related field A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year for year basis. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in physiology, biology, molecular biology, genetics or related field Prior experience or background within an experimental or wet laboratoryKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
