Job Summary:
As a Research Services Professional in Debo Sardar's Lab, you will develop management and research skills in a new and growing lab. You will gain exposure to a broad range of concepts in neuroscience- ranging from next generation sequencing to in vivo genetics in mouse models.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchasing research supplies through CU Marketplace Mouse colony management- breeding, weaning, genotyping, colony maintenance Co-ordinate with lab members to match animal production to experimental needs Performing mouse brain surgeries using stereotaxis methods Performing mouse brain surgeries using in-utero electroporation Harvesting mouse brain tissue and sectioning brain slices Prepare lab for daily operations, including stocking materials, preparing solutions, equipment, and safety Dispose of laboratory materials and samples using well established guidelines and instructions Review, complete and process logs, documents, databases, and related materials and information Assist with ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations; receive guidance and direction or escalate when required

Onsite- this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

Minimum Qualifications (Entry) Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis Minimum Qualifications (Intermediate) Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis One (1) year professional level research experience in a research environment. Minimum Qualifications (Senior Level) Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year for year basis. An advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate) may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis if the degree is in a field of study directly related to the work assignment. Two (2) years professional level research experience in a research environment.Preferred Qualifications:
