We are seeking a dedicated Biologist to join a dynamic microbiology laboratory team. In this role, you will perform essential testing and support formulation research for leading household and personal care products while maintaining rigorous quality standards.
location:
Trumbull, Connecticut job type: Contract work hours: 9 to 5 education: Bachelors responsibilities: Perform standard microbiological testing, including preservative effectiveness, microbial limits testing, and time-kill kinetic studies. Support Consumer Brands innovation across core product lines such as soaps and dish soaps. Prepare large volumes of microbiological media and safely operate lab equipment, including autoclaves. Safely handle live microorganisms in strict accordance with standard operating procedures. Conduct basic testing, manage laboratory equipment sanitation, and accurately report results. Work independently on lab tasks following the successful completion of initial training.
qualifications:
Required:
Background in microbiology, through hands-on laboratory experience, a life sciences degree with microbiology coursework, or enrollment in a microbiology degree program with foundational lab courses. Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safely handle live microorganisms. Capacity to operate laboratory equipment such as autoclaves and prepare testing media. Strong organizational skills to manage laboratory sanitation and deliver accurate testing reports.
