Melrose Park, Illinois job type: Contract salary: $20.00 - 22.86 per hour work hours: 9 to 5 education: Bachelors responsibilities: Perform environmental monitoring, aseptic sampling, and testing across production areas and microbiology laboratories. Conduct routine quality control testing on in-process samples, finished products, raw materials, and components. Execute peer reviews of laboratory data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and strict cGMP/GLP compliance. Assist in authoring laboratory investigations (OOS, OOT, OOL) and update SOPs or analytical methods as required. Perform microbial identification activities, including sub-culturing, Gram staining, and automated identification systems. Maintain laboratory equipment, coordinate routine calibrations, and assist in training junior personnel.

Required:

Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences or a related field 1 to 3 years of progressive microbiology laboratory experience Solid working knowledge of cGMPs, GLPs, and compendial testing methods Ability to work 100% on-site on a B-shift schedule (5:45 AM - 6:15 PM) Strong written, verbal communication, and organizational skills

Preferred:

Direct experience with MALDI system microbial identification Prior experience working within ISO Class 5 gowning environments or sterility testing #LI-MH1 skills: Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
