In-person Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Microbiologist to perform microbiological and molecular testing on clinical specimens. The role involves identification of enteric pathogens using culture-based and advanced molecular techniques, while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform microbiological testing including culture, biochemical tests, serotyping, and EIA Conduct molecular testing such as PCR and Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) Isolate and identify organisms including Salmonella, E. coli, Shigella, Vibrio, Listeria, and Campylobacter Extract nucleic acids using manual and automated methods Analyze, interpret, and report test results accurately Maintain laboratory documentation and records in compliance with CLIA regulations Perform quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) procedures Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment Monitor inventory and ensure availability of lab supplies Assist in preparing reports and data analysis Follow all laboratory safety protocols and procedures

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Science (Biology or related field preferred) Strong knowledge of microbiology principles and laboratory practices Experience handling clinical specimens and performing lab testing Familiarity with laboratory safety standards and CLIA regulations Ability to operate laboratory instruments and equipment Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills Effective communication skills (written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years of laboratory experience Experience in a molecular biology laboratory Hands-on experience with PCR, sequencing, or similar techniques
