Job Description
Job Summary Primary responsibility is to perform microbiological testing of finished products, process samples, raw materials, environmental testing, and all else necessary to ensure the safety and quality of all products. . Key Duties and Responsibilities 1. Investigate and assist in root cause analyses of microbial contamination. 2. Prepare media and stock solutions necessary for the Micro. Lab. 3. Responsible for obtaining, handling, and retesting of all recheck/replate samples. 4. Responsible for the counting/interpretation of microbiological results, the reporting of the results to the appropriate personnel, and maintenance of lab records. 5. Responsible for performing monthly environmental air testing, water testing, and weekly incubator temperature checks. 6. Able to run Chemical QC lab analyses as necessary… ie. egg solids and % salt. 7. Able to sample and test all incoming loads of eggs. 8. Update microbiology procedures manual as needed. 9. Maintain Micro Lab in a clean and orderly manner. 10. Inventory supplies for the Micro Lab. 11. Aid in R&D work, as necessary. 12. Available to perform other duties as required or assigned by proper personnel.
