Job Description
Work Schedule 10 hr shift/days Environmental Conditions Laboratory Setting Job Description This position will work in the cGMP compliant QC Microbiology Laboratory supporting manufacture of biological products. Responsibilities include performing microbiological testing (bioburden, bacterial endotoxin testing, growth promotion, biological indicators, and stock cultures), and bioburden and endotoxin validation work. How will you make an impact? The Microbiology Scientist will be expected to write and technically interpret controlled documents and reports, and review data and initiate investigations. Will interact with other departments to ensure that sample flow and testing are correctly maintained. Will interact with other departments to ensure that sample flow, supply chain, and equipment disposition are correctly maintained. Will perform microbiological testing methods, in a GMP Microbiology laboratory. What will you do? Perform Bioburden and Endotoxin testing for waters, in- process, and product samples. Qualify microbiological testing such as bioburden and bacterial endotoxin. Draft SOPs, Test Records, OOS Investigations and Summary reports and any supporting documents. Review data, analyze and summarize data with guidance. Order laboratory supplies and maintain required inventory according to SOPs Arrange the receipt of samples in the lab for testing. Maintains and ensures safe laboratory practices. Using aseptic techniques while handling samples. Work performed would support GMP manufacturing activities and release testing. This position is a
