We are a new and growing lab working at the intersection of immunology, virology, biochemistry, and structural biology. This is a timely opportunity to join a young and ambitious team within a larger department with a well established and vibrant research community. This role is NIH-funded through a recent DP2 award and also offers the opportunity to develop independent research directions, if desired. The project focuses on the mechanisms that regulate antigen presentation and adaptive immunity, how these pathways are disrupted in disease, and how they can be engineered for immunotherapy. A successful postdoctoral fellow will develop expertise in advanced techniques for the functional and structural analysis of membrane protein complexes involved in immune recognition and viral infection. The project will integrate biochemical, cellular, and structural approaches, with opportunities to develop new scientific directions based on the candidate's interest and expertise. Qualifications:

PhD in the life sciences or a related field (either completed recently or nearing completion) Proven experience in independent research (1st author publications preferred) Effective oral and written communication skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Experience in immunology, microbiology, virology, cell biology, and/or proteomics is preferred Interest in biochemistry and protein engineering The Lee Laboratory is part of the NYU Grossman School of Medicine located in the heart of Manhattan with a wide-ranging research community and offers postdoctoral fellows multiple benefits, including access to subsidized housing.
