40.0 Responsibilities Prepare microbiological media for in-house food testing purposes Maintain an inventory of microbiological media formats to support testing Coordinate sample destruction after results entry Maintain autoclave records for routine analysis preparation and destruction Conduct microbiological analyses of food ingredients, finished products, and environmental swabs Plate for hygiene indicators and perform molecular testing for food-borne pathogens Assist in sample preparation and receiving as needed Interpret and review microbiological data Requirements B.S. in Microbiology, Food Science, Biology or related field; or 5+ years of food microbiology work experience if no degree 2-3 years of microbiology testing experience Experience with media preparation, microbiological analyses, and data interpretation Microbiology is the most important skill set; food science experience is a plus but not required Ability to work on-site as required Must be available for a 7-month contract 1 interview via Microsoft Teams, followed by on-site interview if passed System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
