Description Overall Responsibility:

This position is responsible for performing routine microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process bulk and finished products accuracy and compliance with established test methods, SOPs, safety guidelines andadherence to

ISO 17025

2017 requirements. Job functions : Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Test raw materials, stability samples and finished products for pathogens (E. coli, Listeria, Salmonella, Staphylococcus)

• Determine counts for Yeast & Mold (TYMC) and the Total Aerobic Microbial Count (TAMC)
• Test for Aflatoxins and probiotic viability
• Document routine maintenance on instruments (GENE Up, TEMPO instruments, BAX, etc.)
• Execute general Lab testing such as DT, pH, moisture, etc.
• Ensure that the annual qualification and calibration of Micro instruments is performed
• Assist in maintaining inventory and documentation (SDS, Certificates of Analysis, etc) for consumables, reagents, kits, etc.
• Adhere to all Biosafety practices and regulations.
• Assist in Environmental monitoring testing
• Prioritize workload to meet deadlines
• Communicate effectively regarding testing status, results, and technical concerns
• Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and data integrity standards
• Perform other related duties as assigned
