some of your typical work assignments may include: Serves as a subject mter expert and senior Science and Technology Manager (STM) for all aspects and phases of Science and Technology (S&T) project management reled to thre agent science of chemical and biological (CB) agents as well as overseeing the development of enduring thre characterizion capabilities to enable CB thre understanding and to inform CB capability development (detection, protection, modeling and simulion, and hazard mitigion). Develop, coordine, and manage research and development activities performed by Service/Nional laborories, academia, industry, and prive sector while coordining with interagency and internional partners. Applies professional knowledge of microbiology to critically evalue the scientific validity of research projects, determining if the proposed experimental methodologies for studying chemical and biological agent fe, phogenesis, and transmission are scientifically sound. Identifies and transles Joint Force operional vulnerabilities into specific microbiological research objectives, identifying gaps in current CB defense science to genere technical S&T plans. Provides authoritive scientific oversight of R&D deliverables, analyzing complex microbiological da (e.g., genomic sequencing, viral replicion res) or chemical da (toxicity, human health estimes, etc.) to determine if research projects are achieving the required scientific outcomes.
