Role:

The Adjunct Faculty in Physical Therapy plays a critical role in educating and mentoring students pursuing careers in physical therapy. Minimum Qualifications:

A minimum of a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution. Current and unrestricted physical therapy license in the United StatesPractice should. Demonstrated experience in clinical physical therapy practice. Prior teaching or instructional experience in physical therapy or related health sciences. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage students in a virtual or in-person classroom setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with curriculum development and academic program assessment. Advanced certifications or specializations in physical therapy (e.g., Orthopedics, Neurology). Experience with online teaching platforms and educational technolog, preferably in the neurology specialties. Research experience or scholarly publications in physical therapy or rehabilitation sciences. Membership in professional organizations such as the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).

Responsibilities:

Deliver lectures and laboratory sessions in physical therapy courses according to the academic schedule. Develop and update course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and assessments, to reflect current best practices and research. Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, supporting their professional development and clinical readiness. Evaluate student performance through grading assignments, exams, and practical demonstrations, offering constructive feedback. Collaborate with full-time faculty and participate in departmental meetings to contribute to program improvement and accreditation processes.
