Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Rehabilitation Technician/Exercise Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, physiotherapy, and rehabilitation practices. This role involves assisting with patient recovery through tailored exercise programs, manual handling, and supporting clinical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic outpatient healthcare setting focused on outpatient rehabilitation. This is a Monday- Friday position and must have the ability to work until 6pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Fridays are a half day from 830-12pm! Duties Assist licensed clinicians in implementing individualized rehabilitation plans for patients recovering from injury or chronic pain. Support patients during therapy sessions by demonstrating exercises, monitoring progress, and ensuring proper technique for safety and effectiveness. Perform manual handling tasks including patient transfers using appropriate methods to prevent injury and maintain patient safety. Maintain accurate documentation of patient activities, progress notes, and treatment records while adhering to confidentiality protocols. Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning of devices. Educate patients on physiotherapy techniques and exercises to promote independence and recovery. Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate care plans. Qualifications Proven experience practicing in a physical therapy, Stretch Lab or rehabilitation role with a focus on patient service and care. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and rehabilitation principles necessary for effective support. Prior hospital or clinical experience in acute care, inpatient settings, outpatient clinics, preferred. Ability to perform mild to moderate lifting and assist with patient transfer methods safely while maintaining proper body mechanics. Certifications related to physiotherapy or rehabilitation are advantageous. Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and motivate patients of diverse backgrounds.
