Part-time faculty are pooled positions; appointments are made on an as-needed/rolling basis. Summary of Position Teaches a specific course or component of a course in the Physical Therapy Program. Responsibilities include developing course syllabi in accordance with program policies, selecting appropriate instructional materials, delivering lectures and facilitating learning activities, and creating assessments to evaluate student performance. The role also involves participating in core faculty meetings as needed, maintaining consistent attendance and engagement in all scheduled classes and labs, and contributing to laboratory practical examinations. Position Information Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

Work Schedule:
Typically, Monday through Friday. Teaching assignments may be remote or at various locations.
Primary Location:
Youngstown Qualifications and Competencies Required Certifications, Training, and/or
Licensures:
Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Ohio. Sponsorship and/or
Work Authorization Status:
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Minimum Qualifications:
Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy; and one year of professional physical therapy experience; and licensed in Ohio to practice physical therapy; must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
Possesses the professional expertise needed for the course being hired to teach or assist with.
Physical Requirements:
In accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor physical demands strength ratings, this position will perform light work.
Light:
work involves exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects, requiring: (1) walking or standing to a significant degree; (2) sitting most of the time while pushing or pulling arm or leg controls; or (3) working at a production rate pace while constantly pushing or pulling materials even though the weight or the materials is negligible. (The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible.)
