Work involves performing a wide range of administrative and office support work for the department. Employees at this level perform assignments following specific instructions and are subject to frequent review by the immediate supervisor.
Essential Duties:
Assists by processing travel expense reports. Assists in performing inventory of supplies and office equipment. Assists with file plans and maintains files, records, and logs. Assists in maintaining confidential information and records. Performs preliminary research on assignments and gathers pertinent data. Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High School / Entry Summer in recommended high school plan
Other Conditions:
Must be at least 16 years of age, a student currently enrolled in high school or any institution of higher education to include a trade/vocational school. Employees at least 18 years of age with valid driver's license may be assigned driving duties and may use power tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Individuals with excellent interpersonal skills highly desired.
Competencies :
Some skill in: Research and analysis methodologies Maintaining effective working relationships with others Collecting, sorting and compiling data Administrative support practices and procedures to include writing, editing and report writing techniques, recording meeting notes, record keeping and records management Using computers, applicable programs, applications, and systems Ability to: Follow verbal and written instructions
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Light work: Lift up to 20 lbs at a time and frequently lift or carry objects up to 10 lbs Sitting
