Utility Technician II - Stevens Filter Plant City of Corpus Christi - 3.5 Corpus Christi, TX Job Details Full-time $17.80 - $29.17 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Driver's License Full Job Description Overview Utility Technician II's perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance actions as well as complete internal plant projects to ensure the facility continues to operate and provide an uninterrupted water supply to the distribution system and meets state and federal regulations. This position provides operations and maintenance to satellite locations (pump stations and elevated storage tanks). Responsibilities Identifies maintenance requirements and completes preventative, corrective, and routine maintenance work orders on plant and satellite facility assets in the City's Maximo system including logging material, time, and work performed Operates and maintains equipment including but not limited to forklift, backhoe, overhead cranes, mobile cranes, generators, water pumps, chemical feed pumps, actuators, and valves Samples and verification of water monitoring equipment using specialty handheld laboratory instruments such as Hach SL 1000, DR900, pH probes, and others Assists with compiling project material lists and obtaining supplies for internal plant projects Position Type and Typical Hours of Work
- Non-Exempt - Full-Time - 40-hour work week
- Must be available to work additional hours as needed
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is a schedule requirement

- High School Diploma/GED
- One (1) year of experience Licenses and Certifications Required
- A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hiring Required within six (6) months of hire
- TCEQ Class D Water License Employment Testing Employment is contingent on passing any post-offer pre-employment screening as listed below:
