Job Description
Job Description Collin County is seeking exceptional candidates to fill the position of Building Maintenance Technician I. A Building Maintenance Technician I, is responsible for but, not limited to, conducting inspections and making necessary repairs to various structures and mechanical equipment. Work is performed under the direction of the Facilities Technical Coordinator Primary Functions Assisting with the renovation and remodeling of buildings. Monitoring energy controls. Performs related duties as assigned. Building Maintenance Technicians may be assigned to any Collin County building or rental property including, but not limited to, detention facilities, medical examiner's office, animal shelter, courthouse, administrative building, and parks. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Must possess the knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes. Candidates must have achieved a level of education equivalent to four years of high school. At least one (1) year of experience in building maintenance is required. Candidates must possess and maintain a valid Texas Operator's Driver's License with an acceptable driving record. Candidates must be able to pass a post offer, pre-employment physical (POPP), a Functional Physical Capacity Assessment (FPCA), a drug screen, and a background check, when required. Must be able to pass physical fitness test to be eligible for hire.
