JOB SUMMARY
Assists in the provision of patient care, therapy support, departmental maintenance, and administrative duties as directed by
PT, PTA, OTR/L, COTA, SLP
in a therapeutic manner which acts to promote the patient's functional ability and lead to improved quality of life.

The following is a summary of the major essential functions of this jobAssist
PT/OT/SLP
staff in patient treatment under direct supervision of licensed team member.

Prepare and maintain department treatment rooms and equipment for patient use.

Responsible for assisting with clerical duties for department.

Responsible for monitoring inventory (including DME as applicable).Responsible for assisting with departmental safety and quality control monitoring.

Responsible for teaching basic rehab technician duties to students and volunteers.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Experience:
No experience necessary. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details.

General working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. General knowledge of medical terminology.

Organizes individual patient caseload in collaboration with team workload demands. Performs daily administrative/office activities to ensure efficient flow of care within team. Provides orientation and guidance to new rehab staff in work area as requested The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned.

The job requires constant standing, frequently walking, and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Please note that the pay rate does not include any applicable incentive compensation programs such as shift differentials, clinical ladders, and other incentives that may be available for those in eligible positions.
