Full Job Description Job Summary:
Calibration Physicist 1 is responsible for verification of proton treatment delivery and periodic quality assurance of proton beamlines and treatment devices. Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Physics required from an accredited institution. Some work in a physics laboratory or similar setting preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
Requires handling and use of delicate instrumentation. Must be able to effectively communicate regarding radiation measurements and calibration procedures. Requires use of computer for input of data and operation of treatment machine. Able to communicate effectively with coworkers to ensure task completion. Able to request and accept guidance in task completion. Must be able to work well within a group. Requires the ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict timelines for patient treatments. Reasoning and problem solving skills are essential; language skills included.
