Job Description

Summary:
Responsible for the medical physics, dosimetry, and radiation safety operation at LifeBridge Health system wide.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead or co-lead development of clinical protocols for advanced treatment modalities. Participate in research initiatives and contribute to clinical innovations. Perform and verify treatment planning and dosimetry calculations. Ensure quality control, perform calibrations, and maintain accurate records. Conduct acceptance testing for new or upgraded radiation therapy equipment. Monitor compliance with state and federal radiation safety standards. Provide radiation safety services, including training, surveys, wipe testing, and coordination of radioactive waste disposal. Maintain knowledge of current regulations and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in Physical Sciences and Radiologic Physics required Certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics Ph.D. preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical radiation oncology setting strongly preferred
