2989937599-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Essentia Health is seeking a Medical Physicist to support our Radiation Oncology program, ensuring safe, precise delivery of cancer treatments. In this role, you will perform treatment planning, machine calibration, and quality assurance for linear accelerators and imaging systems, and oversee radiation safety and regulatory compliance. You'll collaborate closely with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and therapists to optimize patient care, contribute to protocol development, and support technology upgrades, all within a compassionate, team oriented, and growth focused environment. Responsibilities Perform treatment planning and dose calculations for radiation therapy patients Calibrate and maintain linear accelerators and associated imaging equipment Conduct routine and specialized quality assurance tests on treatment and imaging systems Ensure compliance with all radiation safety, NRC, and state regulatory requirements Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and therapists to optimize treatment plans Develop, implement, and review clinical physics protocols and procedures Evaluate and commission new radiation therapy technologies and software Maintain accurate documentation of QA procedures, calibrations, and safety checks Provide physics support for brachytherapy and advanced techniques such as IMRT/VMAT and SRS/SBRTParticipate in staff education, training, and continuous quality improvement initiatives Required Skills Radiation therapy treatment planning Linear accelerator calibration and QARadiation safety and dosimetry
