Job Description

Medical Physicist — Oncology Coos Bay, Oregon | Full-time days | Permanent direct hire
Salary:
$159,360-$265,599 per year, based on experience.
Schedule:
80 hours every two weeks. Help lead the physics work behind safe, accurate radiation therapy. Work closely with radiation oncology and therapy teams on treatment quality, equipment performance and patient safety. Your work Perform linear accelerator calibration, equipment quality assurance and technical support. Support treatment planning, including 3D and IMRT workflows, simulation and brachytherapy as applicable. Advise on radiation safety and help maintain clinical quality systems. Collaborate across departments while managing priorities independently. Qualifications Master's or PhD in Medical Physics or a related field. Current ABR certification in Therapeutic Radiological Physics or ABMP certification in Radiation Oncology Physics. Strong clinical radiation-oncology, linac calibration and quality-assurance knowledge. Approximately five years of staff medical-physics experience is preferred. Early-career applicants with relevant experience are welcome if they meet the required board-certification qualifications. Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills. Ability to assume Radiation Safety Officer responsibilities is preferred.
