Your key duties In this Building Physicist Intern role, you will influence the design of complex high-profile projects and use computational design tools to solve complex inter-connected design problems.
This role offers you the opportunity to make a mark in the following areas:
Use computational design tools to solve complex inter-connected design problemsAssist with the development of new tools to optimize our workUndertake various environmental modeling analyses, including thermal comfort and daylightingPioneer ideas and showcase industry-leading consulting expertise to prominent clients and collaboratorsYour skills and experience Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or design Knowledge of building physics and passive designCoursework in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Experience using Rhino, Grasshopper, Ansys, STAR-CCM+, OpenFoam beneficialInterest in analytics and designAbility to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible mannerInternship experience at engineering related firm preferred, and proven interest in the built environment Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible manner Eagerness to learn and work as part of a multidisciplinary team Candidates are encouraged to apply even if they don't meet all requirementsWhat we offer Hourly rate of $24 to $34 per hour depending on level of education and geographic locationHybrid working & summer hoursConnection to global network of experts on the forefront of industry initiativesAccess to wide ranging learning and development opportunitiesConnect with colleagues and build your network through our Employee Resource Groups, including the Young Employees Forum, Diversity & Inclusion Forum, Women's Network, Wellness Committee, and Black at Buro HappoldReady for something a little less ordinary?
