Develop and coordinate workshops, seminars. webinars, and educational programs related to research development, proposal preparation, grantsmanship, and external funding; Provide individualized consultations to strengthen faculty research competitiveness and proposal developmental strategies; Coordinate proposal mentoring, internal peer review, and other faculty development initiatives that improve proposal quality and funding success; Promote awareness of research development services, funding opportunities, sponsor priorities, and institutional resources available to faculty and researchers. Collaborate with Sponsored Programs, Research Compliance, Technology Transfer, Finance, other Administrative offices, and external partners to facilitate successful proposal development and submission; Coordinate institutional proposal review processes and support strategic research initiates, limited submission competitions. and internal funding programs; Facilitate communication among faculty, administrators, collaborators, and research support offices throughout the proposal development process; Assist with the development and implementation of research development resources, guidance, and best practices that strengthen institutional research competitiveness; Foster a collaborative, customer-focused environment that supports faculty research success, innovation, and continuous improvement. Monitor research development activities and outcomes to evaluate program effectiveness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement; Collect, analyze, and report performance date related to proposal submissions, funding success, faculty engagement, and research development activities; Recommend process improvements and innovative practices that enhance research development services, proposal competitiveness and institutional research growth. Develop collaborative relationships with funding agencies foundations, industry representatives' professional associations, and external research partners; Represent the Division of Research on institutional committees, professional organizations, Workshops, conferences, and outreach activities; Support initiatives that expand research partnerships, opportunities, and institutional visibility promoting the University's research strengths. Perform duties as assigned in support of the mission, goal's, and strategic priorities of the Division of Research and Innovation; Support special projects, institutional initiatives, research events, proposal development activities, and other efforts that advance research excellence, faculty success, and sponsored funding growth. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and eight years of related experience; or master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of related experience. Competencies Knowledge of academic resources available to students; Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and private sources for contract and grant funds; Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations; Demonstrated knowledge of the concept, principles and practices of leadership and management; Demonstrated knowledge of the physical, social or life science field; Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives; Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop change or alternatives; Knowledge of principles and practices of project planning, development, and evaluation; Demonstrated knowledge of research methodology, principles, and practices in area of work; Knowledge of and the ability to apply the principles and practices to strategically align tasks and people with organizational goals and objectives; Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Administrative and Professional and A&P Executive Service (A&P EX) positions are considered contractual. Terms and conditions are generally recognized by contract for a specific period of time or contracts renewed on an annual basis.
