Job Description

Bott Cattle Co. Inc. is a 4 generation, family operated, diversified feedyard that includes row crop farming and a R.N.G facility coming online at the end of 2026. Located south of Palmer, KS, 50 miles northwest of Manhattan, Bott Cattle has been raising quality beef for the last 12345 years in Washington County.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe home feedyard where cattle are fed until harvest weight has a one-time capacity of 8,500 head. This yard consists of open lot staging pens and a 1,000 head deep pit confinement barn that was built in 2020. Two larger barns are under construction that coincide with the R.N.G. facility.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWe also operate a 1,000 head satellite yard 1.5 miles away from the home yard where cattle are received, put in lot sized groups, processed, grown and moved to the home yard to finish once pen space becomes available.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nOn the farming side we raise triticale, corn and soybeans. The triticale is chopped in the spring for feed; the corn is either picked as high moisture corn, dry corn or chopped for silage.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe position that we are advertising to fill is the Satellite Yard Manager. Although it's not required, we prefer an individual that has some working knowledge of the feedlot industry and an interest to learn and grow with us.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nRelocation assistance is available if moving is necessary.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nPlease see the following job description for more details.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nSatellite Feedyard Manager\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n
