Job Description

Lower Family Foods — a family‑owned premium meat manufacturer established in 1927 — is opening a brand‑new Product Development Kitchen in Richmond, Utah. We manufacture BBQ, Hispanic, and specialty meat products for national restaurant chains, retail brands, and foodservice customers across the country. We are seeking an experienced Culinary Director to lead our corporate culinary operations and drive innovation to help shape the future of our products. The Culinary Director will oversee all test kitchen operations, lead recipe development, host customer tastings, and collaborate with product development and sales teams. This role requires a seasoned culinary professional with strong R&D experience, exceptional presentation skills, and the ability to work directly with nationally recognized brands. Responsibilities Lead our corporate culinary and test kitchen operations. Develop and refine recipes for national restaurant chains, retail, and foodservice customers. collaborate with our product developments and sales teams to create exciting new menu concepts. Prepare and serve corporate lunches, customer tastings, and special events. Host and impress visitors from some of the country's largest restaurant chains and food companies. Help feed our team members and create a welcoming culinary experience for employees and guests.
Schedule Monday-Friday Typical kitchen hours:
8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Occasional weekend events or customer visits Qualifications Professional culinary or executive chef experience required Experience in recipe development, R&D, or culinary innovation Strong collaboration skills across culinary, sales, and product development teams Takes pride in presentation, hospitality, plating, and creating memorable food experiences Excited to work with nationally recognized brands Passion for innovation and building new culinary programs If you're ready to help build something special in a brand-new culinary innovation center, we'd love to hear from you!
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
