Job Summary:
The University of Alabama System Office in Tuscaloosa, AL, is currently receiving applications for the position of Student Assistant reporting to the Manager of System Office Facilities Operations.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Must be enrolled in a UA System Campus undergraduate or graduate degree program at UA, UAB or UAH. Must be registered for at least six (6) credit hours during Fall/Spring semesters. Must be available to work at least 15 hours per week. Ability to prioritize duties in a manner that allows for flexibility in responding to changing demands Initiative to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner and provide appropriate status updates Excellent communication skills on telephone, in person, and via email Must be age 19 and have three years of driving experience Responsibilities Include but are Not Limited to
The Following:
Helping to maintain property Greeting guests in a professional manner Copying, scanning, filing, and mailing documents Taking inventory and stocking supplies Making deliveries and handling courier assignments in Tuscaloosa Exhibiting a professional attitude with all staff, visitors, and other student assistants Conducting daily tasks in a welcoming, enthusiastic manner while prioritizing duties in a manner that allows for flexibility in responding to changing demands
Normal Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, hours vary by semester depending on office needs.
