Summary of Job Duties:

The Research Associate provides direct research support by performing general research tasks and hands-on animal work to advance scientific knowledge. The Research Associate will collect and analyze data and collaborate with the investigator to interpret results, as well as help prepare manuscripts and grant proposals. This position requires expertise in experimental design, data collection, and analysis, along with significant experience in animal work. Additionally, the Research Associate will manage daily lab operations and maintain accurate records of research activities, including experimental data, equipment logs, and protocols.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in biology, pharmacy, or related scientific field plus 4 years related lab research experience.

Proficient in cell culture techniques, Western blotting, real-time PCR, immunofluorescence staining, cell surface staining, cell cycle staining, and more. Skilled in using immunofluorescence microscopy with photography capabilities, BD flow cytometry, plate readers, and other related equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in biology, pharmacy, or related scientific field.

Education background in microbiology, especially virology, and/or cancer biology.

Research experience using iPSCs, experience with oncogenic virus or virus-associated cancer research, experience with drug development, familiar with different cancer animal models.
