ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY SUMMARY

Currently searching for Part-Time Undergraduate Research Student Assistants to work on the CREST Grant, under the supervision of Dr. Ellips Masehian and Dr. Shokoufeh Mirzaei. This team is composed of graduate and undergraduate researchers dedicated to Motion, Grasp, and Regrasp Planning of Manipulator Robots for Agile Manufacturing and Assembly. We are looking for highly motivated individuals, who are willing to research, learn, and mentor to join our team. The Funding is from the National Science Foundation (NSF).

SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO

(this is just a small sampling of work variety): Research Leader-follower Control for Grasping and Regrasping of Stationary Objects Autonomous Grasping and Regrasping of Stationary Objects Autonomous Grasping and Regrasping of Moving Objects Developing AI and Machine Learning models for robot training Synergy with Other Subprojects Availability to dedicate 20 hours per week during academic semesters and summer for research. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within research team. Passion, self-motivation, and commitment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

: Enrolled in Cal Poly Pomona STEM majors and have interest in research and field work Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to details and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with others. Strong computer coding skills, especially in Machine Learning and AI fields. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
