ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY SUMMARY
Currently searching for Part-Time Undergraduate Research Student Assistants to work on the CREST Grant, under the supervision of Dr. Zahra Sotoudeh. This team is composed of graduate and undergraduate researchers dedicated to IME Smart Manufacturing Lab's Intelligent Factory goal of the grant. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who are willing to research, learn, and mentor to join our team. The Funding is from the National Science Foundation (NSF).SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO
(this is just a small sampling of work variety): Literature review Data mining at the IME Smart Manufacturing Lab (experimental work) Creating a simulation for different robots in the IME Smart Lab Creating the Digital Factory of IME Smart Manufacturing Experimental Verification Synergy with Other Subprojects Availability to dedicate 20 hours per week during academic semesters and summer for research. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within the research team. Passion, self-motivation, and commitment.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
: Programming in MATLAB and Python Have an interest in learning and applying machine learning techniques in engineering. Enrolled in Cal Poly Pomona STEM majors and have an interest in numerical and experimental work Knowledge of Dynamics (at least passed undergraduate Vector Dynamics) and willing to learn more. Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS
