David Scott Parker Architects seeks an architectural preservation intern to assist with a specific research project related to a local National Historic Landmark. Project work may include archival research, documentation of an existing historic site, researching historic fabrication specialists, photo documentation, and report preparation. Our ideal candidate is self-starting, proactive, resourceful, impeccably organized, and an excellent communicator. A background and/or demonstrable interest in historic preservation is crucial. Additional desired skills and experience are as follows: Strong collaborative spirit; willing to work closely with project leads. Exceptional research, writing, editing, and proofreading skills, including a basic knowledge of architectural and preservation terminology Ability to read architectural drawings Strong command of MS Powerpoint, and MS Word Strong research skills To apply, please submit your cover letter, resume/CV, and a writing sample (preferably research-based).
