Job Description

TalosTech is a science & innovation company with a focus on advanced battery materials and specialty battery products. The company conducts technology innovation and product commercialization, sponsored by DOE, NASA, and DOD . We are open to hire a Research Scientist or a Research Engineer join us for battery innovation and commercialization. Responsibilities TalosTech is seeking highly motivated and creative Research Scientists for our specialty battery project. The job scope includes planning and conducting experiments, data analysis, reporting results, preparing project progress reports, conceiving new ideas, preparing proposals, and leading new projects. Qualifications Must be US citizen or permanent resident, due to funding restrictions Ph.D. in Chemistry, or Material Science and Engineering, Outstanding MS in engineering will be considered Solid knowledge on electrochemical principles, devices, and testing methods Experience in battery/fuel cell material design, fabrication, and evaluation Experience in coin/pouch/stack cell fabrication, testing, and failure analysis Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivated, out-of-box thinking Excellent technical writing, communication, and teamwork skills Strong records of publications/presentations on energy storage and conversion Preferred Candidates Hands-on experience on lithium or sodium ion battery fabrication and testing, specialty battery electrolytes, solid state batteries Hands-on experience on structural batteries, or 3D architecture batteries Proof of innovative ideas to address the challenges of these specific topics Experience in writing proposals and applying funds from federal agencies
