About the job Ag Metrics Group is part of a nationwide group of agricultural research centers dedicated to helping farmers and agricultural product companies improve crops and production methods. We're looking for a Research Technician to join our team in Thonotosassa, FL. What You'll Do Collect field trial data on crop growth, plant health, and insect activity Record observations on plant development and product performance Assist with applying agricultural products during studies Enter and manage research data in our study database Support field and greenhouse activities that keep trials on track Contribute to projects under the guidance of a biologist What We're Looking For An Bachelor's degree in science or related field, OR equivalent hands-on experience Experience working in agriculture fields, greenhouses, or labs Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and good time management A dependable team player who can also work independently Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a busy research environment Application experience highly desired Physical Requirements Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions while wearing Personal Protective Equipment Able to lift up to 50 lbs for 4-6 hours per day
