Research Assistant The Jones Center for Diabetes and Endocrine Wellness Macon, GA Job Details Full-time From $16 an hour 17 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Flexible spending account Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Employee relationship building Full Job Description Overview The Research Assistant (RA) is responsible for clinical and administrative tasks at the research site in support of the Clinical Research Coordinators (CRCs) conducting the clinical trials at the site. The RA will perform tasks to facilitate participant visits, monitoring visits, and other activities being performed by the CRCs at the site. Responsibilities Process laboratory specimens according to lab manuals Unpackage supplies received from sponsors File documents Prepare and distribute documents for investigator signatures Answer phone calls and record detailed messages Record temperatures daily Understand the purpose of all trials at the site and be able to speak to potential participants in clinic and over the phone to gauge their interest in participating in a trial. Prescreen the EMR for potential participants for trials Schedule participants for study visits Confirm visits with participants, providing essential reminders as applicable. Travel to and attend Investigator Meetings, conferences, and other research-related meetings Review and develop familiarity with each study protocol Upload, file, and maintain essential documents for each trial Facilitate efficient and smooth workday at the site Support and model teamwork and a positive work environment at the site Perform other job-related duties as requested and required Skills Superior communication and organizational skills Foundational knowledge of medical terminology Able to demonstrate and model teamwork Knowledgeable of Good Clinical Practice, ICH Guidelines, and HIPAA Strong work ethic and ability to establish rapport with participants and investigators Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task Ability to maintain confidentiality Capable of establishing and maintaining working relationships with colleagues, patients, sponsors, and other clients Join us in our mission to drive innovation through research!
