Job Description
- Conduct fundamental research on publicly traded companies within the Technology, FinTech, or CleanTech sectors.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, including earnings forecasts, operating metrics, and valuation analyses.
- Perform company, industry, and competitive analysis utilizing public filings, management meetings, industry contacts, and third-party data sources.
- Develop investment theses and formulate actionable investment recommendations.
- Author earnings previews, earnings reviews, initiation reports, thematic research, and industry updates.
- Monitor sector developments, market trends, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic factors affecting coverage companies. Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Communicate investment recommendations and industry insights to institutional investors.
- Support client meetings, conference calls, non-deal roadshows, and investor conferences.
- Respond to client inquiries and maintain strong relationships with buy-side and institutional investor accounts.
- Partner closely with Sales & Trading to communicate investment views and identify areas of investor interest. Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Review and provide feedback on research models, reports, and analysis.
- Collaborate with other sector research teams and internal business partners to identify emerging investment opportunities.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives designed to enhance the firm's research franchise and market presence. Qualifications Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related field required.
- MBA and/or CFA designation preferred. Experience
- 5-8 years of equity research, investment banking, consulting, asset management, or related financial services experience.
- Prior experience covering Technology, FinTech, Software, Digital Infrastructure, Payments, Financial Services Technology, Clean Energy, Sustainability, Industrial Technology, or related sectors preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build complex financial models and perform detailed valuation analysis.
- Experience interacting directly with institutional investors and corporate management teams is highly desirable. Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, valuation methodologies, and capital markets.
- Experience using Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ, and other financial data platforms.
- Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into clear and actionable investment conclusions. Soft Skills
