We are seeking a Field Research Assistant to join the company, a premier supplier, in Windfall, IN.

- Must be able to work outside in the heat and other various weather conditions, walk on uneven field ground, and must be reliable to show up every day.
- Able to follow direction, work well with others, and have basic computer skills
- Any additional Medical Surveillance testing required No.
- Basic computer, iPad skills
- Tasks can change day to day and be fast paced.
- The Research Assistant will perform a variety of routine tasks associated with Windfall, IN multi-crop research station.
- The tasks will include any or all of those described for the Field and Processing Worker, organization of samples during corn/soy harvest and/or, wheat planting.
- The type of task will be dependent on the stage of the annual research program and will be seasonal in nature.
- Tasks may be performed in an indoor and/or outdoor setting.
- The Assistant must be able to understand and follow both written and oral instructions.
- He/She normally receives general instructions on routine tasks and detailed instructions on new tasks.
- The work will be closely supervised.
Responsibilities:
- As with the Field and Processing Worker, can be responsible for performing a wide range of tasks or a specific task depending on the stage of the seasonal research program.
Tasks may include: - Field research operations related to planting, thinning, weeding, pollinations and sample harvest.
- Sample processing operations including preparation of supplies, sorting, scanning, weighing, preparation for shipping and seed packaging.
- General facility operations including general clean-up, organization of samples and supplies, and other routine tasks as they arise.
- The Research Assistant may also perform additional tasks as requested by the supervising Field Technician.
