Job Summary/Basic Functions The LSU Cancer Center is seeking a Research Associate 2 or 3 (RA2/3) to plan, assist and conduct laboratory experiments on the project "Protein S, a natural anticoagulant controls Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma by mediating both antitumor and antithrombotic effects" including additional ongoing obesity research. The incumbent is expected to manage and perform general day-to-day lab operations including daily and routine maintenance of lab equipment and instruments and lab safety inspection and management. They will analyze, summarize, and organize collected data together with the Principal Investigator and draft, edit and revise reports and manuscripts for publication in professional journals. The RA2/3 will also purchase and/or recommend purchase of lab supplies, reagents and new equipment for research projects. Successful candidates must be able to work with a high degree of self-motivation.
