Job Description
Standard tasks:
Conduct laboratory research on microalgae species operating bioreactors. Analyze the biochemical composition of microalgae and assess their potential for scalable production. Prepare detailed reports and presentations on research findings for both internal stakeholders and external publications.Preferred qualifications:
A MS or Ph.D. in Microbiology, Marine Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field is required. Experience with microbiological laboratory techniques such as microscopy, spectrophotometry, and bioreactor production methods is required. Proficiency in data analysis and statistical analysis of experimental results. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting. The candidate mustCURRENTLY
live within 40 miles of Pocasset, MA. Please do not apply if you must relocate for the position. The typical work schedule is Monday-Friday 7am-3pm, though this is subject to change seasonally. Depending on the needs of the research plan, work on weekends and/or holidays is required intermittently. This position is for a short term (<90 days) appointment, with the potential to be extended depending on the candidate's aptitude and project progress. Hours per week could be as many as 40, but never more than 40, and some weeks will be less. The time per week will differ depending on the project goals, candidate abilities and a ongoing plan between the candidate and the research program lead. All full time employees are eligible for health and dental 50% company paid, HCA company funded 100%, all Federal holidays, 3 weeks paid vacation, paid sick time, and a competitive salary. Health and dental may start day 1 of full time employment, vacation time accrues based on hours worked. Part time employees receive paid Federal holidays and a competitive wage.Job Types:
