Job Description

Posted on behalf of The Alex Foundation, IACUC approval and oversight by Boston University. We are looking for responsible, dependable students or early career individuals to work as research assistants in our avian cognition laboratory (parrot). The responsibilities of this position are largely centered around animal care (such as feeding, cleaning, and enrichment). While there are opportunities to assist with research, they are limited. Our operating hours are from 9am-8pm, with the opening shift spanning 9am-2pm and the closing shift spanning 2pm-8pm. Applicants will be expected to work at least one closing or opening shift a week, work independently when necessary, and maintain good communication with laboratory management to ensure all protocols are met (relevant experience is preferred but not necessary!).
Pay:
$15.00 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 - 20.0 per week
