Job DescriptionWe're looking for a detail-oriented and compassionate Research Study Assistant II to join our Sleep Medicine research team in Novi, Michigan. In this role, you will provide essential support to our sleep medicine research initiatives by managing data collection, maintaining accurate documentation, and assisting with the analysis and interpretation of research findings. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently within a collaborative research environment while adhering to established protocols and regulatory requirements specific to sleep medicine research.

Assist in designing and implementing sleep medicine research methodologies, including polysomnography (PSG) data collection procedures and clinical study protocolsCollect, organize, and maintain research data using appropriate documentation systems, databases, and sleep-specific data management toolsPerform data entry, verification, and quality assurance to ensure accuracy and completeness of sleep study records and participant informationSupport data analysis activities by preparing datasets, running statistical analyses, and generating preliminary reports related to sleep medicine findingsMaintain detailed and accurate records of all research activities, including participant consent forms, sleep assessments, study progress, and regulatory documentationAssist in literature reviews and compile relevant sleep medicine research materials to support ongoing studiesCoordinate with research team members, clinical staff, and study participants to ensure timely completion of study milestones and deliverablesMonitor compliance with institutional policies, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements specific to sleep medicine research throughout the study processPrepare research summaries, presentations, and documentation for team meetings and stakeholder communicationsTroubleshoot data-related issues and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain data integritySupport the preparation of grant proposals, progress reports, and other research documentation related to sleep medicine studiesDemonstrate empathy and professionalism when interacting with study participants, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout the research processQualificationsProven experience in research support, data collection, or laboratory/clinical research environments, preferably in sleep medicine or related fieldsStrong proficiency in data management, organization, and documentation practicesDemonstrated ability to analyze and interpret research data accuratelySolid understanding of research methodologies and study design principlesExcellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skillsProficiency with computer systems and data management softwareStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a research teamKnowledge of compliance, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards in researchFamiliarity with sleep medicine terminology, concepts, and sleep disorder assessment toolsExperience with sleep study protocols or polysomnography (PSG) data collection and analysisExperience working with patient populations in clinical or research settingsUnderstanding of sleep-related regulatory requirements and ethical considerations in human subjects researchFamiliarity with statistical analysis software (such as SPSS, R, or Python)
