Research Associate
Job Description
The Department of Psychology (Community Health Program) is accepting applications for its Research Associate position. Conduct HIV Rapid Tests according to established protocols for the campus community of students, faculty and staff. Conduct confidential pretest and post-test counseling sessions. Recruit and train Peer Health Educators. Support research and evaluation activities under the guidance of the Program Director. Carry out additional project duties as assigned by the Program Director. Collect data and manage databases containing sensitive and confidential information. Candidate must have earned a minimum of an Associate Degree. Candidate must be fluent in the English language and be able to demonstrate effective communication and social skills. Candidate must be able to work with diverse populations on campus and in the surrounding communities. Candidate should be knowledgeable about HIV prevention, counseling and testing. Candidate must demonstrate excellent organizational skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team. Candidate must demonstrate integrity, empathy, respect and adhere to maintaining confidentiality.
