Job Description
Job Title Research Assistant Essential Job Functions Assists in the maintenance of institutional database including data which are collected from the various units of the university Coordinates training sessions for faculty and staff members Completes all reports, surveys, questionnaires, and requests made to the office using pre-collected data Updates, publishes, and disseminates a variety of print and electronic statistical publication to the department's webpage Maintains a calendar of expected reporting dates, receive, pursue, and route information to and from appropriate units as necessary, and make necessary in-house communications regarding data quality Assists the Director in completing research studies on various aspects of the university Manages the day-to-day operation of the office Other related duties, as assigned Qualifications Minimum Education Bachelor's degree Minimum Experience Five (5) years related experience and/or training in business, technology, information systems, quantitative analysis, or social sciences. Prior experience with or willingness to learn WordPress, Banner, and Argos systems. Skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio). Licenses/Certifications None Knowledge Skills and Abilities Extensive knowledge in the area being researched Analytical and problem-solving skills Good critical thinking skills High level of customer service skills Ability to remain calm under pressure Ability to commit to lengthy, complex projects
