A Research Assistant assists with a research program or project. Works in a variety of fields within science or the social sciences, in programs based at a university or research institution, or works on government or industry sponsored research projects. Conducts field or library research or recruits participants for a study; may also assist with legal research. Typically conduct research under the guidance of senior researchers or professors. These roles are often held by undergraduate or graduate students pursuing degrees in relevant fields, or individuals with relevant work experience.

This role involves outdoor labor, operating farm equipment, and supporting farm upkeep. The position requires physical stamina and adherence to safety and operational procedures. Job Description Assist in planting, pollinating, harvesting, threshing, shipping, weeding, and seed preparation Perform field activities such as detasseling, rogueing, sampling, and preparing fields Operate farm equipment such as tractors, combines, harvesters, sprayers, and threshers Drive company vehicles to transport materials and equipment to and from work sites Support maintenance and improvement of farm facilities and assets Follow all safety policies and participate in safety meetings Perform additional duties as assigned Skills Required 0-3 years of relevant experience Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting over 25 lbs, bending, and repetitive work Capability to stand or sit for extended periods Ability to read, write, and understand verbal and written instructions in English Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately Teamwork skills and ability to take direction from supervisors Ability to work in varying outdoor conditions including heat, cold, mud, and uneven terrain Education/Training/Certifications High School Diploma or GED Additional Requirements Willingness to work extended hours or shifts during peak seasons Ability to work outdoors in uncontrolled environmental conditions Must adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety requirements Valid driver's license for operating company vehicles HarveStaff offers a wide variety of competitive compensation and benefits programs.
