• 09/24/2026 Job Institution Princeton University Institution Type College / University Department Effron Center for the Study of America Location New Jersey, United States Position Post-Doctoral Fellow The Effron Center for the Study of America at Princeton University seeks a postdoctoral research associate in Native American and Indigenous studies, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2027. Ph.D. required. Postdoctoral appointments are initally for one year with the renewal for a subsequent year(s) based on satisfactory performance, continued funding and meeting all other requirements. Contingent upon sufficient enrollments and approval from the Dean of the Faculty, the successsful candidate may teach one course per academic semester, including "Introduction to Native American and Indigenous studies," and will participate in the intellectual community of the Effron Center. Candidates working in the social sciences, humanities, gender and sexuality studies, and comparative race and ethnicity are encouraged to apply. The work location is in person on campus, and we expect the associate to demonstrate to the Chair's satisfaction the ability to be on campus at least three days per week and on short notice, in order to fulfill all responsibilities. The fellow will enjoy full access to Princeton University libraries, a computer-equipped shared campus office during the appointment period, and access to various University facilities.
