Full Job Description Description:
The FCNJ Clinical Consultant serves as a clinical and strategic leader for the Family Connects NJ program, focusing on improving outcomes for women, infants, children, and families. This role provides consultation on clinical operations, ensures the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care, and guides the development of maternal and child health initiatives aligned with public health goals and community needs. Essential Functions Review clinical guidelines, including normal vs. abnormal assessment findings and how nurses should respond to abnormal assessment findings. Review clinical guidelines annually and update as needed Participate in weekly case conferences and provide education on maternal-child health topics for nursing staff as requested Answer clinical questions from nursing staff as needed Enthusiastically recommend the home visiting program to hospital and outpatient clinical staff Advocate for high-quality, equitable health care for patients Advocate for systems-level change based on program data and Community Advisory Board, nurse, and family reports Promote best practices in program marketing and scheduling in hospital/outpatient settings Consult with subject matter experts in subject that are not your area of expertise Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Requirements:
Certified Nurse Midwife, Nurse Practioner (aka Advanced Practice Nurse) or Physician (DO or MD) license required 5 years of experience in pediatrics, obstetrics, family medicine, or midwifery required Experience working with diverse populations, communities, and organizations preferred Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work collaboratively with various agencies and stakeholders Committed to providing services centered on equity and inclusion DEIB Drivers for Success PMCH aims to foster a workplace culture that prioritizes diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
