Job Description

AllSTEM Connections is seeking a Research Scientist II to work onsite in Albany, NY . This is a six-month contract position with possible extension/temp-to-hire. Hourly rate is up to $47.60/hour .
M-F, 8AM - 5PM. SUMMARY
Our confidential client is a global contract research, development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), offering products and services across the drug development spectrum to help partners turn their ideas into real-world impact.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze compounds using a range of analytical techniques. Develop and execute analytical procedures for new compounds and products. Author analytical method procedures in accordance with established formats and requirements. Prepare analytical validation reports and accurately document experimental results. Process samples independently using established procedures and evaluate experimental data for validity before reporting results. Conduct electronic searches for applicable analytical methods, procedures, and supporting information. Identify and resolve routine technical problems within defined scope. Author and execute protocols and apply basic risk assessment and root-cause analysis tools. Contribute to the review and investigation of OOS results and deviations. Interpret analytical data, prepare summaries, and track and trend results as applicable. Recommend and implement improvements to analytical methods, product quality, and/or services. Manage multiple projects and priorities effectively while completing required documentation and project milestones on schedule. Maintain detailed and accurate records of laboratory activities and results. Apply previously gained knowledge and experience to new and related project areas. Follow established procedures for chemical handling and disposal and maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Demonstrate safety awareness and maintain safe laboratory work practices. Participate in professional development and training activities, including training others as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field with 2-4 years of relevant experience ; OR Master's degree in Chemistry or a related field with 0-2 years of relevant experience .
Pay:
Up to $47.60 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
